Henderson Street Art Installation

CCP have recently subsidised and co-installed this striking street art installation in the heart of Edinburgh’s Leith Shore district in association with CEC, Leith Late and artist Russell Dempster. This long term derelict shop front was transformed into something beautiful and inspiring through the use of collaged images of pop art pioneer Eduardo Paolozzi (1924 – 2005) who was born and raised in the area. This piece has provided a fascinating, educational and thought provoking visual enhancement to the area.

This project was an inclusive and evolving project that had input and support from CEC, Leith Late, Friends of Leith Shore, local printers & suppliers, along with the local community. This has resulted in the street gaining an  uplift in visual amenity and becoming part of the Edinburgh art and cultural landscape.
